Chatimals

Just what are Chatimals? Imagine for a moment an experiment involving a hamster, a parrot and a truck load of helium…have all that in your mind? It does sound slightly crazy but what your imagination has created won’t be too far wrong from the truth.

If when you were young (or even now your older…) you ever played that little game where you somewhat frustratingly repeat exactly what someone says to you continuously, then we would like to introduce you to your new best friend.

Your mother probably told you that copying what people say in order to wind them up isn’t big, and isn’t clever. The Chatimal however repeats whatever it hears back in a very low or extremely high pitched voice, which we have to admit (sorry mum) is very, very funny.

Tipped by the toy experts to be a contender for toy of the year the cute looking Chatimal is simple to use, simply press it’s paw, he’ll listen for up to 30 seconds and then repeat what he’s heard with some hilarity, even if you spoke to him in french! This fury little chap is set to mimic the world… we apologize for the frustration he’s going to cause in advance.

    The video of the Chatimals is brilliant, what a great idea to put him on speaker phone! I’ve placed my pre-order all ready, I can see me having a lot of fun with this and winding a lot of people up at the same time. I know the people in my office are going to love him. Much better than the go-go hamster which managed to achieve toy of the year status.

    The Chatimal is potentially the single most annoying little hamster I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. More annoying than finding the girlfriends hair in the plug hole, more annoying than finding only one clean sock… I should of course add that whilst they are annoying, the Chatimals are also a lot of fun. Oh and it isn’t you who is going to be the person annoyed (which is always a bonus), it’s the unsuspecting people who find themselves on the receiving end of this little monster.

    I bought a Chatimal for my almost 5 year old daughter after laughing myself to tears in the store. When we got it home, her and her little friends screamed and laughed in delight for over an hour and would have kept on going if not for bedtime. Once she was alseep I found myself calling my friends and pranking them with absolute hilarity. Then I bought another for myself!

    What an absolute delight these little Chatimals are. I bought the Chatimal hamster as a gift for my sister as she was feeling a little down and this really bought a smile to her face. The reason for my review is that I actually have a tip, set up a webcam pointing at the Chatimal, turn up your speakers full volume and log onto a web cam community like ChatRoulette, I haven’t laughed so much in ages watching people talking to the Chatimal and seeing it respond, absolutely brilliant!
