Back to the future fans eat your little hearts out, some clever scientists over in Sweden have taken the science fiction and turned it into reality by creating a hoverboard that actually works. By using the earths magnetic core these clever boffins have fitted out the hoverboard 2010X with high powered magnets that repel away allowing the board to actually hover!

To gain motion you simply lean forward whilst strapped to the board and to slow down you simply lean back. Turning is very snowboard like and does take some getting used to, but after an hour or so practice we had managed to get to grips with it, so it can’t be all that difficult.

Vertical hovering height is controlable and you’ll reach speeds of up to 30mph, making the commute to work all that more enjoyable, just so long as it isn’t raining of course. Simply plug the board into a mains socket at home to charge the magnets, a full 2 hour charge will give around 6 hours flight time.

*Please Note: The hoverboard 2010x does not work over water, do not attempt this, you will get stuck.
