Billed as the next generation of home security or “keeping tabs on your children whilst away”, we give you the very impressive: Rovio!

This 3 wheeled WiFi controlled web cam allows you to see what it see’s through it’s camera via an internet connection, whilst picking up and transmitting sound via the mic and speakers.

Take one look at Rovio and you cannot help but be impressed. He’s a futuristic looking WiFi controlled robot complete with webcam and mic which looks like he’s been designed by NASA and in the year 2009, this is all pretty impressive.

Interestingly one of the developers from NASA actually helped to design Rovio, so expect bits to fall off him whilst in use ….

He has an internal “Sat Nav” which allows you to store points that he can return to at the touch of a button along with the ability to return to it’s docking bay at will to recharge.

The problem we have with Rovio is what do you actually do with him? He’s too expensive to be a novelty you store away in the cupboard and the home security angle, well yes now you can watch those youth’s in hoodies robbing your house whilst your miles away unable to actually do anything about it.

He’s not practical, but he’s extremely cool looking and yes, we’d still have one even if we didn’t know what we’d do with it.
