Syma S107 Remote Control Helicopter
“I’m spinning around, Move outta my way, I know you’re feeling me ‘Cos you like it like this…”. Ahem….
It is a great song indeed, but when it comes to flying remote control helicopters, spinning around endlessly isn’t really something we look for from our flying toys. Forwards… backwards… turn left… turn right… Not difficult now is it? So why is it we are offered these uncontrollable spinning RC helicopters on such a regular basis?
The Syma S107 Remote Control Helicopter comes complete with built in gyroscope (ooohh, fancy) which puts an end to this endless spinning. We didn’t know what a gyroscope was either, but Google tells us it is a device for measuring or maintaining orientation, which means we’re still actually none the wiser. What we do know is that a gyroscope combined with a RC helicopter is a perfect combination, delivering possibly the single most stabilized, easily manoeuvrable flight we’ve enjoyed in a long time.
This 3 channel RC helicopter offers complete control over the height, speed and direction which means that unless your a RC flying god you will still crash it into the wall, just far less often. Crashing isn’t as much a problem as with other models either though, because the Syma S107 isn’t made of polystyrene which chips away after each knock, it’s core structure is made from aluminium which protects the motor and gearing during “mayday” operations.
With a charge time of 40 minutes from the handset or through a supplied USB connection (which is very handy), the Syma S107 RC Helicopter offers a approximate flight time of around 8 minutes, which is by any standards 8 minutes of complete and utter joy.

The Syma S107 Remote Control Helicopter is one of the easiest to fly helicopters I have had the pleasure of flying, the in built gyroscope really does make a difference to the flight quality. It just controls in the way I’d expect my remote control helicopters to do and I can ask for little more than that. A seriously great RC helicopter, love it.
Just amazing! The Syma S107 RC Helicopter is one of the better RC helicopters I have ever had the pleasure to fly. It goes the way I want it to go, it doesn’t spin in circles endlessly and it has a very good battery life / charge time ratio. I tend to crash quite a lot because I’m not great at controlling them after a beer or two, but because the Syma S107 is made from metal, it hasn’t broken or stuttered at all…. and there have been some pretty serious crashes! (All due to my poor piloting skills).
I must say that I was highly impressed with the Syma S107 Remote Control Helicopter. It is really easy to control, I don’t keep crashing it straight into walls like I have with other RC helicopters and when I have ran into something, the helicopter continues to work time and time again. A great quality RC helicopter that I highly recommend.
